Early Spring (1 week)

The first sure sign of spring! The first CSA delivery of the year! Nature will dictate the exact delivery date in May for this share. Some of the varieties to be included in the box will be wild crafted, and the number of available shares is very limited. May’s delivery route will be condensed to a limited number of drop sites.

May Produce & Pantry Share

Box will include nature’s earliest sweet, tender spring offerings such as: rhubarb, radishes, scallions, greens, spinach. Plus sustainably harvested/wild-crafted items from our woodlands: asparagus, ramps (wild leeks), wild garlic, watercress, mint, etc. Also included will be a few special pantry surprise treats. May Morel Mushrooms

Among the rarest, most sought-after, and most delectable food treasures anywhere! These early spring delicacies can be elusive. In five of the last six years, all CSA mushroom orders have been fulfilled. But since nature doesn’t always provide ample quantities, morel orders must be paid for with a separate check. Checks will not be cashed unless the mushrooms are delivered. (1st come, 1st served)

May Maple Syrup

The farm community’s woodlands are full of maple trees. No pesticides or chemicals are used on the trees, nor is the forest exposed to runoff. Every step of the processing is done by hand; sap is boiled over a wood-fired evaporator, creating a deeply flavorful syrup. Also delivered in November.
