Green Beans and Fennel
½ Tbsp. butter, melted
½ tsp. fennel seeds
¼ tsp. lemon zest
Salt and pepper
1 c. ¼” cut strips of fennel bulb
½ - ¾ lb. green and/or yellow beans, trimmed
Combine butter, fennel seeds, lemon zest, and a dash of salt & pepper in a small bowl.
Steam green beans for about 1-3 minutes, or until crisp-tender. Add the fennel strips to the steam basket for the last minute or so.
Toss with the seasoned butter.
