Fennel and Sausage Pizza


This is such a simple, and delicious pizza- fennel and sausage are a perfect pairing.

So yummy it was half devoured before I could snap the photo!

1 prepared pizza crust

1 sweet Italian sausage, or sausage of your choice

Olive oil

1/3 c. (+/-) marinara/tomato pasta sauce

1/3 c. shredded mozzarella

2/3 c. shredded/thinly sliced fennel

1/4 c. shredded parmesan

Preheat oven to 425.

Slice open the sausage casing, dump sausage into a skillet, (discard casing). Saute until thoroughly done, breaking up the meat into little pieces as it cooks.

Brush the edges of the pizza with olive oil. Evenly spread the pizza crust with sauce, out to within 1/2" or so of edge.

Sprinkle with mozzarella, scatter with a layer of cooked sausage, then top with fennel, and last, the parmesan.

Bake until browned. Enjoy!
