Kale No-Cream Gratin

We like this yummy side dish with chicken.
1/2 c. whole wheat (or sourdough) bread crumbs
1/4 c. grated parmesan cheese
Olive oil
1 clove garlic, minced or pressed
4 c. rough-chopped kale leaves
Salt
Preheat oven to 375.
Stir together the bread crumbs, cheese and 2 tsp. olive oil. Set aside.
Saute the garlic in 1-2 Tbsp. olive oil for 1-2 minutes, then add the kale leaves and sprinkle with salt. Stir until the kale wilts and is coated with oil. Add 2-3 Tbsp. water, cover and steam until tender (about 6-8 minutes).
Transfer to a greased baking dish and sprinkle with bread crumb mixture.
Bake until the bread crumbs are nicely browned, about 10-12 minutes.
