Storage

Cucumbers have a high water content and are best eaten fairly quickly.
Do not store them near fruit or tomatoes as they’re sensitive to ethylene gas, (which is emitted from some fruit and vegetables as they ripen).

Wrap tightly in plastic and store in the refrigerator away from fruit (especially citrus and apples), and tomatoes. Some that say cucumbers stay fresh longer at room temp, but for me, keeping them in the refrigerator seems to work better.
