Skillet Green Onions and Chives


Very basic, very good accompaniment with grilled or roasted meat

4-6 green onions, trimmed to fit in a small skillet (with a lid)

2 Tbsp. butter, divided

Salt

1 Tbsp. snipped chives

Put onions, 1/4 c. water, and 1 Tbsp. butter in skillet. Bring to a low simmer, cover and cook for 3-5 minutes (until firm-tender). Uncover, cook another 2-3 minutes, turning often. Remove onions, add the other 1 Tbsp. butter to the skillet, stir well and pour over onions. Sprinkle with the chives.
